Your privacy matters. This privacy policy explains, in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, in the Netherlands: AVG), which personal data is processed when you use fitwithlexy.com or the coaching services of FitWithLexy, for what purposes, on which legal basis, and what your rights are.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The controller for the processing of your personal data is Aleksandra ("Lexy"), operating as FitWithLexy, a personal training and coaching service based in the Netherlands. For any question or request regarding your personal data, contact vitharanagedonalex@gmail.com.
2. What data is processed, why, and on which legal basis
Contact form: when you send a message, your name, email address, and message are delivered to FitWithLexy by email so your enquiry can be answered. Legal basis: taking steps at your request prior to entering into an agreement (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Reviews: when you submit a review, the name, rating, and text you choose to share are stored and displayed publicly on this website. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you may withdraw at any time by requesting removal. WhatsApp: if you choose to contact FitWithLexy via a WhatsApp button, your messages are processed by WhatsApp (Meta Platforms) under their own privacy policy; FitWithLexy only uses the conversation to communicate with you about coaching.
3. Health and fitness information
During coaching you may voluntarily share information about your fitness level, body measurements, lifestyle, or health (for example injuries or medical conditions relevant to training). This can qualify as special category data under Art. 9 GDPR. FitWithLexy only processes such information with your explicit consent (Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR), uses it solely to provide safe and personalised coaching, treats it as strictly confidential, and never sells or shares it with third parties for marketing. You may withdraw this consent at any time, after which the information will be deleted.
4. Analytics
This website uses Vercel Analytics to measure visits and page views in aggregate. It is a privacy-friendly solution: it places no cookies, does not follow you across other websites, and does not store data that identifies you personally. Legal basis: legitimate interest in understanding and improving the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Because no cookies or personal identifiers are used, no cookie consent banner is required under the Dutch Telecommunications Act.
5. Cookies
This website does not use tracking, advertising, or profiling cookies.
6. Recipients and international transfers
FitWithLexy uses a limited number of service providers (processors) to run this website: Vercel Inc. (hosting and analytics), Resend (email delivery for the contact form), Upstash Inc. (database storage for reviews), and WhatsApp/Meta (messaging, only if you choose to use it). These providers only process data as necessary to deliver their service. Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area (for example to the United States), this happens on the basis of appropriate safeguards such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Personal data is never sold.
7. How long data is kept
Contact messages are kept no longer than necessary to handle your enquiry and any follow-up. Reviews remain published until you request their removal. Coaching-related information is kept for the duration of the coaching relationship and deleted afterwards, unless a legal obligation (such as the 7-year Dutch tax retention duty for administrative records) requires longer storage. You can request deletion of your data at any time.
8. How your data is protected
Appropriate technical and organisational measures are in place to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) across the entire website, access limited to Lexy only, and reputable EU-compliant service providers. In the unlikely event of a data breach that poses a risk to you, you will be informed and the breach will be reported to the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens where required.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, and erase your personal data, the right to restrict or object to processing, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal). To exercise any of these rights, email vitharanagedonalex@gmail.com; your request will be handled within one month at the latest. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch supervisory authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
10. No automated decision-making
FitWithLexy does not use automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR. Every coaching plan is made personally by Lexy.
11. Changes to this policy
This privacy policy may be updated from time to time, for example when the website or services change. The most recent version is always published on this page, with the date of the last update shown at the top.
